Panson hosted a two-day Afghan steel mill delegation at our Ningxia base in May 2026 — covering silicomanganese production, particle size customization, and cross-border rail logistics into Central Asia.

On May 13, 2026, a professional delegation from Afghan steel mills arrived at Panson New Materials’ Ningxia production base for a two-day on-site inspection. Our senior sales and technical teams accompanied the visitors through the full agenda — factory tour, technical seminar, and commercial discussions — culminating in long-term supply cooperation intentions for the Central Asian market.

On-site Factory Inspection

Accompanied by Panson’s technical team, the Afghan clients toured the raw material yard and finished goods warehouse, observing the complete production flow first-hand. Special attention went to our silicomanganese particle size processing line — the controlled crushing, screening, and packaging steps that determine consistency from one melt to the next.

The orderly workflow, standardized operations, and clean factory environment reinforced the clients’ confidence in our manufacturing capability and batch-to-batch stability — both critical when feeding alloys into an EAF or LF where each charge has to land within tight chemistry windows.

Technical & Commercial Communication

Both sides then held a technical seminar focused on the specific smelting conditions of Afghan steel mills. Our technical team reviewed product performance, quality parameters, and Panson’s particle size solutions in detail, mapping our standard grades against the clients’ charging method and downstream casting requirements.

In-depth discussions followed on product adaptability, batch consistency standards, and after-sales technical support — aligning specifications, lot sizes, and the communication chain for the first trial shipments.

Cross-border Railway Transportation

Given Afghanistan’s geography, the discussion turned to cross-border railway logistics — a route that has matured significantly in recent years for Central Asian metallurgical inputs. Our team walked the delegation through the complete land-freight process: bulk loading, customs declaration and inspection procedures, scheduled departures, and full-route tracking.

Compared with sea freight via Karachi or Bandar Abbas, the rail route through China–Central Asia corridors offers shorter transit time, lower weather variability, and more predictable lead times — practical advantages for furnaces running continuous campaigns with limited storage buffer.

Long-term Cooperation Confirmed

Backed by reliable product quality, professional technical service, and a proven cross-border supply system, Panson earned the full trust of the Afghan partners. Both sides confirmed long-term stable supply cooperation intentions.

This engagement marks an important step in Panson’s expansion into Central Asia, and demonstrates the international competitiveness of our alloy and carbon additive portfolio. We look forward to building more long-term win-win partnerships with Central Asian steel producers — and to supporting the steady growth of the regional steel industry.
